Some other brands might have paperless outgoing FAX sending, so does this printer. (Print to the FAX "printer" in Windows printer list and not to your default printer). Really still the same machine but two different printers in Windows. It will even ask for the phone number to use. Also, if you are on one the junk FAX lists and many of us seem to end up on - the free trips to Vegas, Hawaii etc (after a 4 - 8 hour real estate arm twist!) you can end up with a lot of wasted ink/paper. So how about paperless incoming FAX's? Yes, Brother printers (MFC-5890CN included) have what is called PC-FAX Receive that is an option. Paper manual is nearly useless for setting it up - see the included CD's more detailed manual for full setup details. More or less you install the PC-FAX receive software in the PC's startup folder (I'm using XP) so that it is always running and also turn off incoming FAX print to paper option via the setup screens. After that your incoming FAX's are only digital files that you can read on your PC's screen. Print or delete or leave them in memory. (up to the memory limits) Great feature if you receive lots of FAX's that don't need to be saved. One more way to save money with this printer and not wasting ink and paper.

Stay away from the MFC-5890CN

Google "Unable to Init AF" and you will get a long, long list of queries asking how to fix this. It appears to be a common problem. It sounds like the moving bar in the scanner is jammed and a belt or gear is grinding itself to pieces everytime you try to start it up. No help from Tech Support. Will not initialize once this happens so you don't have a printer, scanner copier or fax. All you have is a @#@#$% ROCK WITH A POWER CORD AND A NETWORK CABLE!

I love my Brother MFC-7440N, its a B&W Laser that I have run 30,000 pages through and it works like a champ. Thats why I bought the 5890. What a waste.

I went online looking for a printer that would handle 11x17 stock for brochures, folders and book signatures...
WOW! I thought OK cheap and easy - well we will see. The printer/scanner/copier/mass-storage camera card reader I could go on and on! I scan to file from the printer! I print borderless picture perfect images in a variety of sizes up to 11"x17" (ledger) size, and it is still on the original ink after a ton of experiments and research work!!! Yes the ink is economical and the printer unit as a whole is fantastic... next I want to finally set up the fax... I have never used it before so may have to edit this later, but fax or not everything else is worth the meager amount I paid for it and it outperforms every printer of any brand other than Brother that I have ever experienced including the original Xerox printshop models I operated!!! way back when... just get one already! You won't be sorry. I sure am not!

I filled this base with sand and gravel and it holds our 10' umbrella very well. We have had no problems whatsoever- even after quite a few nasty storms this summer.

Package arrived early which was fantastic! Amazon rarely disappoints me on shipping.

However, the product just doesn't get the job done. I filled it with water and carefully screwed the cap on, moved the product to the desired location, planted the umbrella and within an hour it began to leak. The cap leaks through the threads. As the water leaks the base becomes lighter and less stable which can be a safety issue. Disappointing. Now I must purchase sand and fill it. If I had to do it all over again I would have spent more money on a heavy brass base and avoid the hassle.

I am about to order a second one of this umbrella base as the first one has worked out extremely well. Our 10' x 8' inground spa was getting so much sun that the water was becoming quite tepid, so I bought the first umbrella stand, filled it with gravel and some water and sank it to the bottom of the spa. It holds a 9 ft. market umbrella and shades the spa beautifully, as well as looking good!

Now that the sun is higher in the sky, I need a second umbrella as about one third of the pool is now in the sun. This base is tried and true and I have no hesitation in buying a second one. I'm just happy they are still available!

I ordered this item instead of the Le Creuset Petite Au Gratin primarily because a reviewer of that product called it "uselessly shallow." This item claims a depth of 3.5 inches (which would be much too deep), but in actuality it is only 1 inch deep.(1.5 would be ideal.) Even if you measure from the bottom of the dish to the top of the handles (a truly useless measurement) you only get 2.5 inches. Also, one of the three (why three?) had a big chip missing from a top edge, and the chip was nowhere to be found in the packaging - which tells me it went into the box chipped. I wish I could send these back, but I'm sure I'll find a use for them. I'm ordering my first choice which couldn't be any more "uselessly shallow" than these.

Bought these last year and just love them. They are thin, so they heat quickly and easily. They are very smooth, so cleanup is also just great, even for burned on food. We cook salmon fillets in them and use them at least once every two weeks. I also bought some larger Corningware ovenware at the same time because I wanted larger sizes, but the Corningware is too thick and I hardly ever use them. That's why I'm ordering another set of the HIC porcelain au gratins. They are a wonderful, useful product.

I bought these for individual beef parmesan servings. They are perfect. Cleanup in the dishwasher is wonderful. Heavy enough and large enough. My fear was that they would be too shallow. They may be more shallow than some others but nicely hold a piece of meat with lots of sauce.

If you're like me and LOVE Starbucks Green Tea Latte and Frappuccino, then try this Rishi Tea Sweet Matcha. Neither Tazo or Starbucks actually sells the green tea matcha powder they use to make their Green Tea Latte or Frappuccino. Why would they, if you knew you could make your own at home for considerably less. It has taken me several years now to finally find it, but this is it!!!! It comes with 3 small packs, but well worth it when you can make them in the convenience of your own home. Whether I am in the mood for a hot latte or a cold frappuccino, it is as easy as measuring the matcha green tea powder and adding it to your milk. For lattes, I simply mix it in a plastic bottle with a tight-fitting lid and shake it until it becomes nice and frothy. Then I nuke it for a minute or two and enjoy! For a frappuccino, I simply blend the milk, powder and some ice in a blender.

This bed is everything I had hoped for and more. It was very easy to assemble -- it took about 30 minutes with my toddler trying to "help". I was very nervous about switching her from a crib to a toddler bed, but this bed made the transition so easy. Upon assembly, she immediately climbed into it and laid down. The price was great, which made the purchase that much more exciting and worth it.

I recommend this product to anyone in need of a toddler bed.

This bed is good for the price, but at least the one we got was a nightmare to put together. What should have been a 30-45 minute task took nearly 3 hours due to holes that wouldn't line up and other problems getting the pieces to fit together correctly. In the end we succeeded, but was more challenging than it should have been (and much more than other pieces we've put together previously). By reading the other reviews, it seems this problem is hit or miss - so hopefully if you buy this it won't be a problem.
