I ordered a number of these containers in different sizes. It seems like we throw out so much produce that goes bad before anyone eats it. In my other storage containers, it's harder to see what is in them, but with this see-through container, everyone is much more apt to grab it and enjoy some well kept fruit.

I bought the smaller version of this because I was so impressed with the larger, lettuce keeper. Unfortunately, this is just too small. It will only hold, if you are lucky and stand all the berries up, a pint of berries--but you have to split them so 1/2 are on the bottom and the rest on top. I put a whole pint of blackberries in all together and they began to go bad. When I split the berries and put 1/2 on the top and the rest on the bottom, they kept beautifully. I currently have blueberries in the keeper and they are still perfect after 4 days. If you love berries and buy them when they are in season, you will need several of these to keep them fresh--a much better buy would be the bigger lettuce keeper.

We bought this thinking we could keep the blueberries and blackberries we buy fresher longer - maybe up to a week.

We never seemed to gain any extra time before they would go bad over the store packaging. It does provide a nice storage container for berries but as far as lengthing the time, it doesn't seem to.
